报告人简介:  Dr. Lai Sai Hin is an Assoc Prof at Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya (No 87 in QS World Ranking - University).  He is a Chartered Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC, US).  He is also a member/ Chartered Engineer under the Institution of Engineering and Technology (CEng, UK).  He has been the leader or been part of more than 30 national and international research projects with a total budget of more than 8 Million Malaysian Ringgit. His research is focused on flood, drought, and water resources management in the context of climate change, which involved computational simulation, development of decision support system and optimization model.  Currently He is leading a research team with more than 20 Master/ PhD students, focusing on Multi-criteria decision support system (MCDSS), evolution computation techniques, deep learning and other latest AI techniques for flood, drought and water resources management in Malaysia.  He has published more than 100 research articles in peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
