Chinese language study: 16000 RMB/Year

VI. Scholarship:

Conditional admission scholarships are offered to outstanding students. Students shall go through the procedures of the annual assessment, qualified students can obtain scholarship in the following academic year.

2.    Material review and admission

Materials reviewed, admission list determined, admission letter issued.

Notes:

(1) Delivery shall be paid by the applicants.

(2) Only application in person accepted.

(3) According to the relevant regulations of the Chinese government, international students must be insured as required. For students who fail to buy insurance, enrollment will be disqualified.

(4) The time of registration shall be based on the Admission Notice. For students fail to register within the time limit, enrollment will be disqualified.

Changsha University of Science & Technology（CSUST） was established in 1956. About International Students Education

Since 1999, Changsha University of Science & Technology (CSUST) has been accredited to recruit and train international students, and is awarded as the advanced unit for international students. With rapid growth in the number of students registered, CSUST has attracted international students from 62 countries, with annual recruitment reaching 300 people.

The recruitment and training of international students rely mainly on the key disciplines, advanced faculty as well as sophisticated teaching platform. After more than ten years of development, a multi-level and comprehensive training system has been established which mainly focuses on academic education and is supplemented by long-term and short-term Chinese language training, with a comprehensive education level covering undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral candidates. The system is also multi-typed with various funding channels ranging from Chinese government scholarship, Confucius Institute scholarship, to university-enterprise cooperation, and inter-universities cooperation. Now more than 10 key disciplines have been established to train international students bilingually in civil engineering, electrical engineering, traffic engineering, hydraulic engineering, mechanical engineering, business administration, etc.

We aim to cultivate our international students with scientific and humanistic abilities, solid foundation to their majors, practical and diversified ability and with a good understanding of international laws and regulations.

►Changsha University of Science & Technology (CSUST) distinguishes itself as an engineering-centered multidisciplinary university, integrating engineering, science, management, economics, philosophy, liberal arts and law, with a stronghold in undergraduate education and a capacity of post-doctoral science and research workstations, conferment of doctoral degrees and recommendation of postgraduates for master’s degrees.

►CSUST is listed among the “National Fundamental Capacity Construction Project for Universities in Middle and Western Regions”. The University has been granted first batch of national top 50 “Innovation and entrepreneurship typical experience university”, with the reputation of “China’s first-class university construction university”(Type A) in Hunan province.

 ► CSUST has aimed closely at the development in its major-related industries and has established a high-level undergraduate education system with unique characteristics. CSUST sets up 83 undergraduate majors, among which, 32 are listed among national first-class undergraduate majors (There are 41 first-class undergraduate majors at provincial level and above), 9 national characteristic disciplines. 1 national innovation and experimentation area for undergraduate talents training mode (civil engineering), 1 national comprehensive reform piloting major (accounting); 13 majors have passed national engineering education accreditation, 3 majors have been listed among “Education Training Plan for Outstanding Engineers” by the Ministry of Education and three Sino-foreign joint-education undergraduate program authorized by the Ministry of Education. At present, there are more than 40000 full-time students in the university, including more than 6500 doctoral and master students.

►Strong faculty profile: The university is staffed with 1961 full-time teachers, including 319 professors and 667 associate professors. 1 member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and 2 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering hold concurrent posts in CSUST. Among the faculty members, 3 professors with “Yangtze Scholar” titles, 6 recipients with “National Outstanding Youth Fund”, 1 chief scientist of in projects of the national key basic research development plan (known as the “973 Plan”), 21 professors be paid special subsidy of governmental, 3 “Renowned Teachers of China”, 3 “National Excellent Teachers”, 3 young scholars in “Changjiang Scholars Program”of the Ministry of Education, 1 winner of national Science Foundation for Outstanding Youth, 1 candidate of “Huangdanian Teachers Team of National Universities” and 9 candidates of “New Century Outstanding Talents Support Program” of the Ministry of Education.
