On December 29, the Institute of Scientific and Technological Information of the Ministry of Science and Technology (CAS) held a press conference on the statistical results of China's scientific and technological papers in 2020 in Beijing, and released the Statistical Report of China's Excellent Papers. The research paper Simultaneously Dual Modification of Ni-rich Layered Oxide Cathode for high-energy lithium-ion Batteries, conducted by the team of Associate Professor Li Lingjun in our university was selected as "The 100 Most Influential International Academic Papers in China in 2019". This paper was published in Advanced Functional Materials (Impact factor: 16.836) in 2019. Its first author is Yang Huiping, a graduate student from the School of Materials Science and Engineering, whose supervisor is Associate Professor Li Lingjun (the first corresponding author).
This paper aims to address the fast capacity drop and voltage fading due to the interfacial instability and bulk structural degradation of the cathodes during battery operation and puts forward strategy that can simultaneously solve interfacial instability and bulk structural degradation. It represents a significant progress in the development of advanced cathode materials for high performance lithium-ion batteries and has been highly recognized and evaluated by peers at home and abroad. It has been listed in the ESI High-Cited Paper, ESI Hot Paper and Advanced Functional Materials' 2018-2019 Top Downloaded Paper.
